Great stop-over option to Santander and good value

The hotel is in a small, quiet but very pretty and pleasant town called Aguilar de Campóo. I used it as a stopover on the way to Santander port, an hour away. The hotel rooms are large, clean and very comfortable and the bar, which is open to the village, is open late. In fact it seemed to be the only place open and the goto place for the village. The restaurant was closed on Sunday and seems to take last orders about 8.30pm. The bar serves simple tapas style food though. Breakfast is also a very simple affair served in the bar. Coffee, juice, toast, pastry. Great value stop though. Secure parking in the garage is available for €10, if there is space.

Street parking was very limited and hit and miss. There was none available when I arrived. Luckily I had called ahead to reserve a garage space before booking, otherwise it would have been difficult. Reserve a garage space is my advice. Don't expect a cooked breakfast - it is in the buzzy bar that is the goto place in town for locals taking coffee.

Very pleasant staff in reception and bar. Location in town excellent.

Parking is a problem at the hotel although there is ample in nearby streets. Facilities generally excellent although the bathroom was a bit tired.

Excellent value but food options not the best

Good value for money. Good sized room with excellent shower. Welcome from the receptionist and ability to store my bike without any problems.

Dinner was average and breakfast was adequate but nothing special.

big comfy room and bed

very noisy, no sound suppression at all, I could hear all neighbours (even at night). There is no fridge in the room. The breakfast is very limited - a coffee, a glass of juice, one piece of pastry and either a piece of a baked omelette with potatoes OR a small sandwich with one piece of prosciutto inside. And this is it! Every day the same.

Very good hotel in an interesting small town well worth a visit. Staff are welcoming and helpful, and the adjoining bar/café does a good job for snacks and breakfast. Comfortable rooms.

A very charming town and a welcoming, friendly hotel located centrally.

Breakfast was average but evening meal delicious. Value for money exceptional and a central town location. Staff were very friendly and helpful which was very welcome for us as it meant for a relaxing evening having driven from Costa del sol that day.

Prefer a more comprehensive breakfast menu.

For travelling to Ferry (late am departure) this hotel is well positioned for an overnight stay.

Breakfast was included, and we were well received by the manager who did everything he could to enable us to have exactly what we wanted. The car parking option was used, staff helped us to understand he access method. Meals were of high quality, well presented and tasty. The room was perfect for our needs.

Regret the underground car park is outside the hotel, with no direct access. as connecting door was locked.

Restaurant main course was good. Very modern, spacious hotel. Good parking security.

The restaurant service was a bit chaotic due to the 9pm rush and being Saturday night. Breakfast also seemed to serve passing trade as well as guests. Again, getting your breakfast as a bit hit or miss.

Perfect location for our motorbike tour, enjoyed the 3 day stay to explore the area.

Safe parking for the motorcycles under the building. Staff were very nice, breakfast absolutely fine. Comfortable stay and would stay again.

Very comfortable bed. Quiet room. Restaurant food was fantastic. Central location and easy to find.

I can’t eat gluten so would’ve liked more choice at breakfast instead of only being able to eat the tortilla every day.
